I was born after much pregnancy complications on August 04th, 1988 in Patna, Bihar to a family new to the state capital and trying to settle down and nourish a business a year elder than me. With lots of efforts, hard work and blessings from Him the couple manages to save both - their brain child and their biological child. And, hence the journey begins.
Earliest memories of sitting in a classroom draw me back to Silver Bells Academy in J.N.Road, Patna where I remember of having few teachers and I can easily classify them into 'those who liked me' and 'those who considered me one of the lot'. The next memory which rushes in is of the ordeal we went through in getting me into the prestigious St.Michael's High School, Patna. The school was established in 1858 and pretty much since then has been the first choice for parents across the state. It was Fr.Norbert Menezes S.J. who took the final round of interview and I had screwed it up badly. Probably, my mathematical skills had covered up for unorganized and out - of - the world answers. Well, the maths was not a gift, I owe it to the teacher I had at my preparatory school - J.V.Boon Academy.
Twelve eventful years passed quite quickly. And, the already old buildings of St.Michael's saw me transform from a child to a teenager, from an introvert kid to a rebellious and extrovert adolescent. Few kids have many friends in their school life, those are fewer who everyone wants to make friends with, there are also those who are friends with every single soul in the class. I belonged to a different category - those who have three four friends and neither the rest care about them and nor they themselves care about the rest. World for them is around those few friends. For me 'those friends' were Saurav Ganguli, Kavish Kishore, Siddharth Kumar (later on Sinha) and a few variables.
Life progressed and I went to Kota to 'prepare' for engineering. Those eleven month in what I call 'the mad city' taught me more about life than I learnt anything about any of the subjects. Humans are born with cardinal vices but at Kota I saw people being under their influence to the extreme. And I realized - I had grown up!
Another important milestone is getting into Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore. Not because I would become a successful Electrical and Electronics Engineer but here, I would go on crossing my boundaries, learn to out do myself and what you call 'expand horizons'. Had I not come here, I would not have decided to leave engineering and pursue Bachelors of Business Management and hence, would have never become the person I am. Probably because I love being what I am, I can overlook the faults in DSI as an educational institution. An old teaching of my mum which says - "one should never criticize one's mother, school/college, teachers and country to anyone" keeps my lips sealed of talking anything about DSI. In the mean time, I also developed a great faith in the law of Karma and find myself more spiritual than religious. Friends from different faiths and countries have helped me understand philosophies of other religions and believe in one God.
As I write this article I sit as a student of Christ University Institute of Management, Bangalore pursuing MBA and aiming for a bright future. At this point of time my interest lies in swimming, reading, public speaking, interacting with people, observing them, event management and photography. Photography is the newest addition in the list and I am in the nascent stage, wanting to learn the art.
