It is with great efforts, coincidences and lots of blessings from Him that we get people who turn out to be close to our heart and our companion in celebrations and tears. Once found, we generally put in a lot of things in these relations to keep them strong. And, all the fights, celebrations, surprises, smiles, pranks, heart to heart talks, taunts etc etc and etc goes in to make the relation strong. Eventually, people start sharing a common bond and start liking each others' company. Then comes the stage of missing each other when out in a different company and trying to hang out more and more together. The pranks, jokes, fights stay there adding spices to the relation. The next stage is of being used to each others presence and treating it 'as a matter of fact' thing to be with each other every evening at your fav restaurant, coffee shop, secret place, pub and God knows where not!
But hold on!! Life cannot be so good through out! After the norming, forming and performing stages, the break up stage also follows! And, whether you like it or not, whether you expect it or not, the group of people so used to being with each other are made to take separate paths and keep moving! So, our hands with which we would have sowed the seed, watered the sapling and nourished the plant, we have to let them lose and stop holding our loved ones shoulders. The time keeps pulling us in different directions and we keep fighting, thinking that it is just 'another' phase. And after much pull and push, one day, in another routine attempt to ignore and nullify time's effect it strikes us that our hands now have lost the qualities and the hands which used to nourish may now be a noose around our loved ones' necks, holding them back from enjoying life. Not necessary that the same feelings still be reciprocated! And the guilt of being selfish and disturbing schedules as per our own availability starts pinching us. And, we sit back, shocked and dumb struck to find that the house that we built with our own hands, painted it bright may get stained by the touch of the same hands. We fear that we may destroy our fav creation! So, we take this 'strong man's decision' to stay back and learn to sit and watch. Learn to see the flowers smile in the breeze and grow up than to touch them every now and then and leave them soiled. Coz you wouldn't want that the duckling you kept with you being rejected from its own society for the human smell it carries!
A plan gets canceled. A wish gets suppressed. An emotion is murdered. And we are left with an aching heart, the memories of fights, pranks, jokes, good times and an ancient question 'WHY???'
